By Road
Journey time from the M25 (Junctions 27, 28 or 29) is about 25 minutes

Parking There is extensive free parking including
disabled bays encircling The Old Granary up to the riverbank.
If you are approaching from the
A13, join the A130 northbound signposted to Chelmsford. After
a few miles leave at the first exit slip (signposted to Wickford and
South Woodham Ferrers). At
the end of the slip road, turn left at the traffic lights.
In a few
yards at the
next roundabout take the 4th exit signposted Battlesbridge. After a
few more yards at the next roundabout, take the 1st exit, sign posted
to Battlesbridge. After about half a mile, you will see the antiques
centre. (Satnav will normally take users to this point.) Look for a tall building next to The Barge public house.
Park in The Barge car park, and make your way into the tall
building. You will find me on the ground floor. The journey time by
car from the A130 slip road to The Centre is about two minutes.

Having entered the A130 (dual carriageway), leave at the first exit
(sign posted to Wickford). At the end of the slip road, join the

DIRECTIONS
By Rail
Journey time is about 55 minutes from London Liverpool Street
Station
By
Greater Anglia from London (Liverpool Street) to
Battlesbridge on the Southminster line. Or to Wickford on the Southend
(Victoria) line. On leaving Battlesbridge Station (no taxi service), bear right and
then down the slope on
to the station approach road. At the end, turn left onto the main road.
After a about 50 yards, you will see a tall building about 400
yards away more or less straight ahead. It is next to The Barge public
house. Make your way into the tall building. You will find me on the ground
floor. The antiques centre is about 5 minutes walk. Alternatively a taxi cab from Wickford Station takes about 10 minutes.

Battlesbridge Essex

The Old Telephone Company is located on the ground
floor of The Old Granary, which is part of Battlesbridge Antiques Centre complex.
The Old Granary has wheelchair access to the ground floor. There
are antique and collectables dealers on three more floors. "The Willows" tea room is on the 4th floor serving all day breakfasts
and light refreshments. Every table has window seats with (depending
on the table) extensive views of
the River Crouch, Battlesbridge Harbour, remains of the tide mill
and mill pond, remains of "The British Empire" Thames sailing barge and the other buildings of the antiques centre
(Tip....Bring your binoculars).
The whole antiques centre covers a several acre site on the banks of The River Crouch and is reputed to be the largest antiques centre in East Anglia. "The Barge" Public House and restaurant is less than a minutes walk from my
shop.
Opening hours
The Old Granary is open seven days a week 10.00am to 5.30pm 7 days a week
Cromwell House is open Wednesday to Sunday 10.30am to 5.00pm
Bridgebarn, Haybarn and Muggeridge Farm are open Tuesday to Sunday 10.30am to 4.30pm
The whole centre is open most Bank Holidays except
Christmas Day.

I generally open on a Saturday and Sunday mornings from 10.00 to 12.00.
At other times and during the week days, the staff there can open my shop by
request.
Location See also the map above. Battlesbridge is located close to the A130 roughly half way between Chelmsford and Southend.
There are prominent brown tourist direction signs on the A12, A127 and A13. On
the A130 it merely says "Antiques Centre"
It is about half an hours drive from The Dartford Tunnel and M25.

I am in the shop
most Saturday and Sunday mornings between 10.00 and 12.00. These are the
only times I am in the shop for the sale of spare parts, conversions and
repairs.
Conversions and repairs can often be carried out while you wait.
